This budget-friendly model from Cold Steel is cold forged from a single piece of SK-5 carbon steel and then hardened at 54 degrees Rockwell. The hollow handle features cord eyes, allowing you to attach the knife to a stick to use as a spear.
Because the type of steel used is prone to rust, the knife was given a protective powder coating. Nevertheless, it is recommended to dry the knife well after use and, as a precaution, grease it during storage.
This knife comes with a sturdy plastic sheath with integrated fire steel.
