Igloo IE27 named best buy in a comprehensive cool box test

Good news for anyone who wants to stay cool on their travels this summer: the Igloo IE27 was thoroughly tested by the camping website Kampeermeneer and named best buy among the thermoelectric cool boxes tested.

The Igloo IE27 achieved an excellent overall rating of 7.6 out of 10. According to the testers, the cool box performs above average in almost every respect. Its strong cooling performance, practical operation and sturdy construction were particularly noted as positive features.

Fast and powerful cooling

During the test, the cool box ran for 24 hours in a room with a constant temperature of 25.5 °C. After just one hour, the temperature inside the Igloo IE27 had already dropped to 8.2 °C.

Eventually, the cool box cooled down to 17.8 °C below the ambient temperature. It also performed exceptionally well when used on a 12V power supply. This makes the Igloo IE27 ideal for use on the go, at the campsite or during a day trip.

Set the desired cooling level yourself

One particularly handy feature is the continuously adjustable temperature. You can use the dial to set the cooling power yourself.

On hot summer days, use the maximum cooling setting. When it’s a bit cooler outside or if you’d prefer less noise, simply switch it to a lower setting.

Handy for when you're out and about and at the campsite

The Igloo IE27 AC/DC operates on both 12V or 230V. You plug it in in the car whilst on the move and use it at your destination via a standard socket.

The fixed cables can be neatly stored in the lid. This means you won’t be bothered by loose cables and you’ll always have the right connection to hand.

With a capacity of 27 litres The cool box can hold up to seven 1.5-litre bottles, amongst other things. The sturdy plastic casing is highly durable, and the lid stays open on its own whilst loading and unloading.
